GENERAL INFORMATION
Ovation Baton Twirling is a competitive twirling team established in 1999 by Melanie Bowers, team director.
The Ovation Baton Twirling Team is a program designed to promote a positive environment for students to develop and learn self-confidence, good sportsmanship, and teamwork. These values are the building blocks of our program, all team members and parents work to achieve and maintain these standards.
Ovation baton twirlers are involved in a variety of fun activities as members of the team. During the fall session twirlers begin learning twirling skills. Students also learn a parade routine that they perform in local parades. The second part of the season is spent preparing a routine for competition. In the spring students attend local team competitions and perform their routines. The season is completed with the annual Ovation Studios Spring Recital, this is a chance for students to perform their routines for friends and family and receive recognition for all their hard work and many accomplishments throughout the season.
Team classes start in September and run through May.
The team is organized on a five level system. Levels are determined by ability level and age.
